What this page shows
The hundred largest crypto assets by market cap, on one page: the price, how it moved over the last hour, day and week, the market cap and daily volume behind it, and a chart of any asset going back a year. The map at the top draws every asset as a tile sized by market cap, so the shape of the market, and how much of it is Bitcoin, reads at a glance.
How to read it
- Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply. It is the usual way to rank assets, but it is not money that could be taken out: selling a fraction of the supply would move the price. Read it as a size, not a valuation.
- Volume is what actually changed hands in the last 24 hours. A large market cap with thin volume is a market that moves on little. Volume near or above market cap is usually a stablecoin, or a coin in the middle of an event.
- Breadth in the header counts how many of the hundred are up on the day. A market where Bitcoin rises and breadth is low is a market where money is leaving the smaller coins for the largest one.
- From ATH is the distance below the all-time high. It says how much of a past cycle's gains are gone, not whether they are coming back.
Questions
How often do the prices update?
The table refreshes every minute while the page is open. The header shows the time of the last reading, in UTC.
Why is the price different from my exchange?
The price is a volume-weighted average across every exchange tracked. Any single exchange will differ slightly, and more so for thinly traded coins.
What is market cap?
The price multiplied by the circulating supply. It is used to rank assets by size. It is not cash that could be withdrawn: selling any large fraction of the supply would move the price well below the figure.
Why are stablecoins in the top 100?
Because the ranking is by market cap and the largest stablecoins have more value in circulation than most coins. They are shown in the table and the map, and left grey on the map since their price does not move.
